FACILITY
The Chesterfield Day School, a Chesterfield, Missouri based private, independent elementary school constructed a 9,400 square foot gymnasium addition in 2004 to fulfill their master plan for the school.
CHALLENGE
The gymnasium addition needed to accommodate the needs of the elementary school, as well as the high school physical education classes and sports programs while complimenting the architecture of the original school building.
The architects were also challenged to modify an existing "after hours" room into a new stage area that would support the elementary and high school drama productions .
SCOPE OF SERVICE
CCS Group provided full service project management services on the project including:
- Solicitation of proposals for design services and other consultants
- Budget and design phase estimating
- Constructability reviews
- Construction oversight, monitoring, and management of the change process
OUTCOME
This was CCS Group's second successful project with the Chesterfield Day School. CCS Group was originally hired in 1998 to assist Chesterfield day school with the construction of the original classroom building at the site which was completed in 1999.
The "Fulton Center", named to honor the long-time Head of Chesterfield Day School Dr. Barb Fulton, was dedicated in November 2004.
