The new Jefferson County R-7 High School opened for classes on schedule after less than one year of construction. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held prior to the first day of school for the 74 new freshman. The incredibly tight schedule was kept thanks to the tireless efforts of the School Board, Goodwin Brothers Construction, Bloomsdale Excavating, the design team, and CCS Group personell. A St. Louis Post Dispatch reported filed this article on the exciting day.
